Chun Lok was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Singapore. After graduating from the Biological Sciences programme in NTU, he worked as a Research Assistant on mitotic slippage in cancer in Karen Crasta’s lab at the Institute for Molecular and Cell Biology in Singapore. Chun Lok’s PhD project is a collaboration between Diane McDougald’s lab and the Kline lab, aiming to understand the role of predation in the evolution of virulence by opportunistic pathogens including Enterococcus faecalis. Outside of the lab, Chun Lok enjoys the company of dogs and a good match of badminton.
