Rachel graduated with a degree in the business and environmental science from James Cook University. Before joining the Kline Lab, she worked in the government sector safeguarding public health by mitigating the risk of zoonotic infectious diseases. Out of interest, Rachel have also worked at vet clinics as a veterinary technician. Rachel also has strong interest in environmental diseases and the OneHealth approach. In the Kline Lab, Rachel will be helping with optimizing animal models of bacterial infections, such as diabetic wound models in mice and infective endocarditis models in rats. During her free time, she loves to read and cook! Her favorite book is titled Flowers for Algernon.
