CHUA Yong Jie Jerome
As an undergraduate at NTU, Jerome undertook his Final Year Project in the Kline lab under the mentorship of Dr. Irina Afonina at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology. After graduating, he joined the Kline lab as a PhD student in 2021, to investigate how E. faecalis regulates its gene expression in response to environment signals. When not in the lab, Jerome enjoys fencing (he fences Γ©pΓ©e!) and taking walks along nature trails.
