CHUA Yong Jie Jerome
As an undergraduate at NTU, Jerome undertook his Final Year Project in the Kline lab under the mentorship of Dr. Irina Afonina at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology. After graduating, he joined the Kline lab as a PhD student in 2021, to investigate how E. faecalis regulates its gene expression in response to environment signals. When not in the lab, Jerome enjoys fencing (he fences épée!) and taking walks along nature trails.
